Position Summary:
The Workplace Banking Relationship Manager I position serves as the primary point of contact for our Telhio Workplace Banking Partners and their employees. The day to day handling of the employee's accounts may be farmed out to the member's assigned branch(s) and their associated workplace champion bankers. This position works with the leadership of our Workplace Banking Partners to establish new and profitable ways for Telhio Credit Union to better engage with, and bring solutions to, their employees. The WPB Relationship Manager I will also identify and engage new WPB Partners, educating them on the benefits of Telhio membership and setting up engagement events for their staff(s). The holder of this office must also be proficient in the uncovering of opportunities within their book of business and the effective introduction of appropriate Telhio team members to fulfill these needs. In addition to working the existing WPB book of business, this position must develop internal and external\ partnerships that can be leveraged for introductions and relationships.
The WPB Relationship Manager I collaborates with our consumer facing branch teammates to uncover new opportunities. Furthermore, they will work with the leadership team(s) of each branch location to involve branch bankers in onsite(s) as necessary. Furthermore this position will partner with the Business Banking Relationship Managers (BBRM) in the further development of the Workplace Banking Program and its membership solutions. This role requires a flexible individual, who is comfortable having 3 question deep conversations regarding all of Telhio's business lines.

What you will do:
  • Responsible for functions that align with the Workplace Banking process in daily work to create an exceptional member experience.
  • Opportunity Management
  • Developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of WPB services and products as well as working knowledge of the other business lines of the credit union
  • Leads, coordinates, and assembles team (as necessary) to properly staff workplace events.
  • Acts as lead member advocate for members in matters pertaining to workplace banking.
  • Employs and maintains a disciplined approach to prospecting and documenting new partner engagement in alignment with performance metrics outlined below
  • Builds a new partner referral pipeline by leveraging introductions from internal & external sources.
  • Actively participates in community organizations and events to source new relationship development opportunities and demonstrate Telhio's commitment to the local community
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the needs of partner's employees
  • Delivers distinctive service by completing annual relationship reviews with all partners, consistently updates the CRM software with current partner data, call summaries, etc
  • Brings Telhio partners to the table to deepen the relationship based upon need and assessment.
  • This individual is expected to deliver the highest level of service to their assigned portfolio while responding to all request on a timely basis.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective and existing small business members to make product recommendations based on need
  • Presentations:
    • Prepares and delivers Workplace banking presentations, individually and as part of a team, presenting appropriate solutions based on partner input and request. Promotes and cross-markets solutions and services for partner(s) employees by keeping them informed of new solutions and opportunities.
    • Actively listens to concerns, presents a clear concise picture and provides partners with targeted
      solutions.
    • Presents at seminars internally for Telhio Credit Union as well as for external organizations.
    • Represents Telhio and table top events as requested or approved by leadership
  • Follow- up:
    • Maintains ongoing contact with new and existing partners to ensure a consistently positive experience with Telhio as a whole and the Workplace Banking program specifically.
    • Is expected to keep detailed records of all activities and actions on behalf of Telhio
    • Partners with BBRM and MSM branch leadership to ensure that any applications or requests for service are being handled appropriately. Helps to ensure that each new member is properly onboarded and that all member solutions have been presented, discussed and applied (as appropriate).

What you will need:
  • High School Diploma Required
  • business related field (accounting, finance, economics, or related field) Preferred
  • 1-3 years Demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results Required
  • 1-3 years Demonstrated strong or advanced knowledge of banking products and services ability to consult and prioritize client needs Required
  • 1-3 Years Client facing experience in the banking or credit union environments Required
  • Demonstrated in depth knowledge of financial products and banking regulations
  • Demonstrated strong client advisory skills
  • Demonstrated experience with/broad understanding of personal and commercial financial solutions
  • Proven excellence in public speaking and panel engagement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, CRM solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check including: Credit, Drug Screen, Criminal and bondability.
