About the Role
The Senior Manager, Information Security is a key senior leadership role in the Information Security program. This senior role manages through direct & indirect leadership a team of security and technology professionals of multiple related departments within the Information Security function to implement effective security programs to protect the BetMGM, our clients and IT systems in a complex, highly regulated environment. The Information Security Senior Manager is both a security thought leader and manages the execution of the team's operational security mission.

The Information Security Senior Manager has an established record of accomplishment, demonstrates subject area mastery, and leads a functional team in an area of security specialization, including but not limited to: Security Operations, Security Engineering and Architecture, Access & Identity Management, Threat and Vulnerability Management, and Security vendor assessments. The Information Security Senior Manager reviews, designs, implements oversees effective security processes and procedures to meet and exceed expectations for security control. The Information Security Senior Manager sets goals & objectives for its area of oversight and may act as leader of a project or risk initiative consisting of cross-organizational stakeholders to achieve risk reduction targets. The Senior Manager communicates effectively with management, peers and subordinates on priorities, progress, and status of efforts, including performance measurement and achievement of goals and objectives. The Information Security Senior Manager develops clear, actionable goals and objectives for the team, coaching, training, and leadership to the team to achieve operational and strategic objectives. The role provides routine written and verbal updates to senior IT and business leadership on security program effectiveness, resource requirements and assessment of risk exposure.

Responsibilities
Serve as the Information Security department lead with both direct and indirect leadership responsibilities across the Information Security program. The role is strategic, requiring broad mastery of the cyber security, IT and risk programs in a complex IT and financial sector enterprise

Interface extensively with executive leadership on corporate risk priorities, business and technology investments, and key business strategies, providing expert advice on cyber security and risk implications across the BetMGM

Develop strategic goals and objectives for the department and provide written and verbal updates to senior IT and business leadership. This role routinely interfaces with external partners in law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and the intelligence community

Essential Functions

Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Computer Science, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of compliance and/or operational/IT audits with an emphasis on internal controls; prior audit experience is a plus. Master's degree in business or computer science is highly desired
  • Advanced security certifications or equivalent formalized training
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working in Information Security or relevant IT roles with increasing responsibility
  • Minimum 10 years of experience designing and implementing cyber security or IT solutions or risk programs within a complex IT or highly regulated environment
  • Minimum 8 years or more in a position of leadership for major IT projects or teams, preferably with security focus
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects or teams in a large, IT environment, particularly one in a highly regulated or controlled environment
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment in one or more areas of cyber security subject expertise, including access and identity management, security engineering and architecture, security operations, threat and vulnerability management or cyber risk management
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent time management skills and be accustomed to working within prescribed deadlines
  • Demonstrated mastery of one or more areas of cyber security expertise
  • Demonstrated experience as a team or project leaders in a complex IT environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cyber security policies and standards in a highly regulated environment
  • Formalized training or certification in one or more areas of cyber security specialization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Including a strong ability to create positive and professional business relationships with partner engineering and architecture teams across IT
  • Demonstrated track record of effective cross-organizational project and program leadership
  • Demonstrated track record of effective cyber security leadership in financial sector or similar highly regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of financial cycles, process mapping skills, and IT general and application controls as well as experience in assessing financial, operational, and technology risks
  • Proven experience with managing IT compliance and risk processes and deliverables
  • Knowledge of SOC I/II, PCI, COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO, Privacy Acts, and other IT compliance frameworks
  • Extensive experience with IT Compliance and assessment technologies including GRC, compliance assessments, Workday ERP, Windows/Active Directory, AWS databases, ERP administration and monitoring
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and attention to detail capabilities
  • Ability to influence others in the organization with compliance knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function
  • Excellent oral/written communications, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate outstanding level of professionalism, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
  • Drive and resourcefulness in making contributions both inside and outside areas of specifically assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently under consultative direction only
  • Comfortable with required periodic travel, as per the needs of the business

Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations. Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies. Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment. Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
