Summary:

In this role, you will lead, develop, and engage a team of Spend Management leaders who support regionally assigned teams responsible for value delivery within a segment of Vizient's primary Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) members. You will be accountable for driving improved provider performance through data and engagement of category experts.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 5-8 Vice President, Regional Leaders.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behavior.

  • Establish and maintain strong knowledge, awareness, and understanding of market dynamics impacting hospitals' expense management and supply chain.

  • Exercise clear leadership, focus, and subject matter expertise in market conditions, technology innovations, and trends that impact Vizient in delivering Spend Management services to providers.

  • Measure and manage key business performance indicators against forecasted objectives; prioritize and implement key improvement areas.

  • Provide strategic direction, oversight, and accountability for the delivery of spend management initiatives within the scope of assigned providers.

  • Ensure the Spend Management delivery team is educated and equipped to articulate, coordinate, deliver, and optimize spend management for their assigned providers.

  • Work with Spend Management category leaders to ensure strategic alignment and strong coordination throughout the delivery of Spend Management engagements.

  • Lead the team to ensure alignment of Vizient spend management solutions with documented provider needs, strategic goals, and priorities identified in partnership with the Enterprise Principles (where assigned).

  • Support internal initiatives focused on process improvement and advocate to remove barriers for the team to be successful.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree in a related field is strongly preferred.

  • 10 or more years of experience in a healthcare-related field including GPO, supplier, distributor, provider, or consultant required.

  • Must have knowledge and experience across a broad spectrum of Supply Chain disciplines such as sourcing, procurement, and distribution.

  • Must possess direct experience in leading people, ideally in a leadership role overseeing other leaders.

  • Trusted advisor, with a strong executive presence and complex business problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

  • Relevant professional certifications desired (e.g., RN, CPSM, CVAHP).

  • Demonstrated success working within a matrix organization.

  • Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients' needs and timetables.

Estimated Hiring Range:

$225,400.00 - $352,000.00
