Manager of Employment and Vocational Services

Do you have a passion to help individuals with behavioral health diagnoses prepare for and find gainful employment? Recovery Resources (a nonprofit comprehensive mental health/behavioral health agency) is seeking a Manager of Employment and Vocational Services. This position is responsible for providing direct oversight and day-to-day management of The Employment Alliance. You'll be responsible to provide oversight to a team of Employment Specialists who provide a comprehensive menu of community employment services for clients with SPMI/SUD. The goal of The Employment Alliance is to develop employment opportunities and place clients in competitive community employment positions that meet each person's individual goals. You will provide supervision and support to the Recovery Resources' OOD Vocational Rehabilitation program, collaborating with the contract program manager (ADAMHS Board) and OOD staff to monitor progress toward successful delivery of contract services.

Essential functions of this position include training, managing and coaching a team of Employment Specialists; monitoring referrals and intakes to Employment Alliance (opening and closes cases in the employee health record); reviewing and signing service plans; reviewing progress notes for accuracy and quality; reviewing and approving OOD Authorization/Billing forms as generated (updating fee schedule); tracking the team's productivity and progress towards targets and outcomes; attending program-related meetings and being responsible and preparing for audits, such as OHMHAS, ADAMHS, and CARF.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for the position include:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or vocational rehabilitation.
  • Two years of continuous work experience in a profession serving adults with SPMI/SUD required.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience. LSW or CRC
  • Ability to coach, support and motivate direct service staff
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work collaboratively with clients; staff, coworkers and employers;
  • Excellent mediation and crisis management skills
  • Strong commitment to the individual success of those we serve and the Employment Alliance and VR teams.
