Job Description

This position is responsible for aftermarket sales in an assigned product line. The incumbent will work directly with our customer base to increase sales volume and gross margin for aftermarket parts and services. Inside Sales/Customer Service, Representatives of all levels will need to be able to listen to feedback from our customers to determine appropriate pricing levels, assemble value-added packages, and create or manage programs designed to increase our level of interaction at a bakery level.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for increasing the sales volume and gross margin for service parts, with a focus on the product line(s) assigned.
  • Research and carry out parts and service requests for customers via telephone, fax, e-mail, or other means.
  • Meet with customers at their facility to determine the root cause of issues and negotiate parts and service packages to meet their specific needs.
  • Problem diagnosis including electrical/mechanical and electronics troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to be innovative and use common sense to remedy a situation so the customer may resume operations.
  • Lead marketing activities for the department to improve overall sales activity for the main product line assigned to.
  • Lead departmental & company meetings as deemed necessary by the manager.
  • Lead product demonstrations at customer locations and at trade shows.
  • Comply with all safety standards.
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required
  • Occasional driving of up to 5-6 hours/day

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in a customer service role or equivalent technical training
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, quotations, safety rules, maintenance, and procedural manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and display sound judgment on high-profile projects that can vastly impact financial results and customer relations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and machine drawings.
  • Ability to prepare installation and parts quotations.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sales/marketing or equivalent education in a technology-related field preferred.
  • AutoCAD or Solidworks experience and ability preferred
  • Knowledge of bakery process and automation processes desired
  • Multilingual-preferably Spanish, Portuguese or Chinese
