Purpose of Position

FlightSafety International is looking for a Treasury & Risk Analyst, with a focus on Risk, that will be responsible for maintaining corporate insurance policies, assisting with insurance renewals, and evaluating risks within the business as their primary responsibilities. The Analyst will also support and perform various Treasury related tasks and will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the Treasury department. The Analyst will interact with various internal cross functional team members and external third parties including our insurance broker, underwriters, third party claims adjusters, banks, and customers. This role requires collaboration, thinking outside the box, and a high level of communication (both written & verbal), and organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities

The following duties are essential to successful performance of the Analyst job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with the annual renewals of corporate insurance policies, including but not limited to, Property, General/Aviation Liability, Auto, Workers Comp, Management Liability, and Cyber policies
  • Support in the management of claims including filing the claim, monitoring the claims status, and working directly with the insurance brokers and insurers to update internal FlightSafety teams (HR, legal, IT, etc.) to claims closure.
  • Provide guidance and suggestions to our legal teams on insurance provisions to support the sales process and service agreement negotiations.
  • Serve as a liaison between all FlightSafety personnel globally, and our global insurers and broking partners.
  • Manage the entire Certificated of Insurance (COI), invoicing, and auto ID car process including requests and reviews.
  • Maintain and manage a premium forecast and budgeting tool.
  • Prepares KPI's on key insurance and risk metrics.
  • Document, enhance, and enforce Risk policies and procedures that are consistent, repeatable, and scalable.
  • Assist with processing wires and payments and ensuring internal controls are followed.
  • Participates in special projects as needed and supports the Treasury team.
  • Evaluate counterparty risks and create a policy that can be used across the company.
  • Compile underwriting exposure data, benchmarking data, and review quotes and binders.
  • Partner with the Safety department to support driving a business focused on safety and risk avoidance.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar related field required.
Minimum Experience
  • 1-3 years of Risk Management, Accounting, Finance, or related experience is ideal but not required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Understanding of financial principles and understanding of common financial risk metrics and control methodologies.
  • Ability to think critically as opportunities present themselves and thinking outside of the box.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Excel and suite of Microsoft Office products
  • Promote, demonstrate, and understand high ethical and professional behavior and business practices.
  • Proactive self-starter who has a desire to broaden their Treasury & Risk skill set and knowledge.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills to develop strong internal and external working relationships
  • Minimal Travel when required.
