Supervisory Responsibilities: Interview and select candidates for openings, set goals for associates, assign tasks/duties, conduct on-the-job training, develop associates' skills and encourage growth, prepare disciplinary write-ups as appropriate, prepare and conduct performance reviews and make recommendations for salary adjustments, approve timecards for FTEs and other duties associated with managing a staff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee core trust operations including asset movement, cash management, trade settlement, wires, distributions and deposits.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures related to trust operations.
  • Oversee the input and maintenance of data in trust accounting system and report generation.
  • Develop and implement operations processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the trust operations team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Review and approve account reconciliations.
  • Manage asset pricing process including resolving pricing rejects.
  • Liaise with trust accounting vendor to manage client statement production process.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of trust activities.
  • Assist with strategic decisions that affect the functional areas of trust operations, compliance and/or tax
  • Resolve escalated client inquiries or issues related to trust operations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, examinations, and inquiries related to trust operations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of trust and investment practices including products, services, processes, regulations and procedures
  • Act as a back-up for operational duties as needed and delegate assignments to support staff as appropriate
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
  • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards

Experience

4-6 Years of Management and trust accounting experience a plus

Education

High School or GED required. Bachelor's in business or equivalent combination and work experience.

Job Requirements

Completion of Trust school or industry equivalent educational coursework.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel within the Park National footprint.

Physical Requirements

This position must be able to remain in a stationary position a maximum of 50% of the time, constantly operate a computer up to 50% of the time, and be able to be in constant communication with coworkers, customers, or stakeholders to discuss and observe facts and data in order to exchange accurate information.

Schedule

Typical office hours are Monday through Friday, 8-5. Scheduled onsite hours in Newark, Ohio required. Flexible work arrangement available. Speak with hiring manager for more information.
