Your Opportunity as a Senior Manager, Operations Excellence Sweet Baked Snacks
Operational Excellence is the company's continuous improvement methodology. It is a comprehensive set of tools, capabilities, and leadership skills designed to achieve business breakthrough results through the 100% engagement of employees. Operations leaders view mastery in this methodology as a key skill required for progression to site leadership roles (operations managers, plant manager, Directors, VP's). Expertise is required to effectively coach/consult Operations VP's, Functional Supply Chains VP's, site directors, plant managers, plant, and corporate wide teams. This role will also work closely with other Function officers and VPs on use of tools, training, and integration opportunities.

Work Arrangements: 100% Remote, but expected to travel approximately 50%

In this role you will:

Promote the continued implementation and integration of Operational Excellence:

  • Establish, renew, and communicate the vision for Ops Excellence at plant facilities within Sweet Baked Snacks (SBS).
  • Assist in development, coordination and monitoring the execution of a strategy to stabilize labor resources, develop the capability for leadership and plant resources, and reduce specified losses that will collectively deliver required business goals for safety, QA, and reliability.
  • Leverage existing company Ops Excellence resources standardizing tools, systems, and best practices across the SBS business.
  • Support operations leadership, supply chain leadership, and plant locations in their implementation of Ops Excellence by providing coaching and direction onintegration, improvement processes, specific scorecards results, and master plans.
  • Establish lead sites to test new learnings and capability.
  • Stay in front of each site from a capability standpoint to continually drive progress of capabilities to deliver business needs.
  • Coach on Ops Excellence daily management systems and reinforce standards with plants.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, packaging, or operations management
  • At least 5 years of manufacturing experience using continuous improvement tools to achieve expected results
  • Prior success in implementing and sustaining improvements
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading individuals, teams, and training and coaching groups
  • Ability to travel (50%)

Preferred skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

  • Led a continuous improvement step change across an organization
  • Expertise in Ops Excellence pillar management
  • Food / CPG industry experience
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
  • Willing to relocate for next assignment
