Sr. UX Designer

General Summary:

The Senior UX Designer will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience for our financial banking business. As a senior designer, you will lead the UX design process from user research and ideation to prototyping and user testing. You will also collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless user experience across all touchpoints.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting/assessing user research, including interviews, meeting with stakeholders and engineers, conducting a series of design exercises to be clean, intuitive, and task-focused, and reimagining the overall look and feel of multiple components/applications.
  • Develops, informs, and promotes process and design ops throughout the organization, project types and points of engagement.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and sitemaps to inform the information architecture and user flow.
  • Deliver solutions and supporting accurate documentation in line with departmental policy, standards, procedures and best practices for applications and systems.
  • Owns/maintains UX design tool site (Figma)
  • Participate on project teams providing deliverables per project schedule.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the team and the business.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience designing mockups and prototypes using design software such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, or equivalent.
  • Expertise with HTML / HTML5, CSS, journey mapping, wireframing, user testing, and development handoffs.
  • Strong understanding of user research methodologies and user-centered design principles.
  • Experience in an Agile development environment.
  • Good understanding of accessibility best practices.
  • Proven ability to translate user insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Experience in designing applications in finance/banking industry preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment, and willingness to work in a rapidly changing highly regulated environment.

Working Conditions:

Requires daily interaction with team members and PCs for majority of duties. Occasionally requiring work outside the Bank's normal business hours (i.e. weekends, evenings, or early morning).
