Role Objective

The master scheduler will demonstrate excellence in master planning, material processes and systems, productions schedules, purchasing and/or logistics activities. Review orders backlog, sales forecasts, material availability and manufacturing capacity to coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from supplier and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan timing of both customers and work in process jobs, and Interfaces with plant schedulers, supervisors and leaders regarding production status. Interfaces with Global Sourcing to identify and resolve material availability issues.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

* Review customer order backlogs and sales forecasts to recommend Master Production Schedules for all assigned products, including options and accessories
* Owner of finished goods inventory levels and achievement of goals
* Accountable for creating an achievable schedule within capacity and lot sizing constraints
* Manage Service and Cost tradeoffs according to direction provided from Supply Chain Leadership team
* Represent Scheduling on various continuous improvement projects
* Communicate inventory projections in accordance with inventory policies
* Provide oversight and report key performance objectives and risks regarding quality, inventory control/material flow, fulfillment and cost
* Work closely with production scheduling team to provide insights for continuous improvement efforts
* Manage planning strategies including supply families, time fences, and consumption & role policies
* Work with Sales or Customer Interaction Center to establish appropriate promised shipment dates for new and/or revised customer orders and Inventory Build Requests (IBRs)
* Interface regularly with Global Sourcing to support the material acquisition and scheduling process, as well as to identify and resolve production shortages
* Facilitate the introduction of new products and prototypes by providing planning and scheduling support
* Perform the administrative tasks necessary for the authorization and documentation of all of the planning activities for the business

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, finance or a related field preferred; in lieu of degree a minimum of four years' experience in Production Planning is required
  • Previous Sales & Operations Execution experience is preferred
  • Proficient in all MS Office products required; intermediate or advance Excel skills required
  • Experience using large data sets to make decisions is required
  • SAP IBP experience is preferred but not required
Supervision/Coordination
  • Coordinates with Manufacturing Plant Schedulers and internal S&OE team as needed
  • This role does not directly manage other GOJO team members
Travel Requirements
Overnight Travel - sporadic - required.
