Machine Operator III- 2nd Shift

Job Summary: The Implanter Operators is a skilled position and requires in-depth knowledge of processes and equipment throughout the work area assigned. The Implanter operator can perform set up, minor mechanical adjustments and operation of all equipment in their assigned area and will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of equipment including set up and troubleshooting as necessary. The Implanter operator is responsible in ensuring correct vision and process parameter files are being utilized during production. Ensure's that all in process quality checks are completed (MAT - Module Adhesion Test, Flexi Test, Bending and Torsion, Implanter Height Check and Wrapping Test). Job Duties:
  • Verifies set up and correct machine parameter is used at the beginning of shift and make adjustments according to job specifications to ensure proper working order
  • Call up existing vision files required to process the product assigned (Front and Rear Camera).
  • Verify correct machine parameter are being used during production.
  • Verify correct UPP PID is being used for the job and advise Lead Hand/Manager if there is conflict.
  • Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum performance
  • Troubleshoot problems during machine operation and resolve process issues, partner with Shift Lead as needed. (Eg. Change Electrical Pins, change suction cups, cleaning weld stamps and adjusting sensors)
  • Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out. (Cleanliness of the machine and maintaining 5S).
  • Perform in process quality checks required for the implanting operation. (MAT,B&T, Wrapping and Height Check)
  • Perform safety checks on every machine
  • Perform audits and quality checks (Ensures that the chip reel balance sheets are properly logged and audited at the end of each shift)
  • Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output
  • Ensure stocks of needed consumables materials are ready and available at all times
  • Create and maintain activity logs
  • Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
  • Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
  • From time to time might be required to operate a machine when the need arises.
Accountabilities:
  • Reports to the Team Lead and receives direction from the Team Lead and Shift Lead
  • Conduct periodic quality tests to ensure quality of production runs
  • Conduct periodic inspection on calibration of equipment being used to ensure accuracy
  • Responsible for quality of finished work on the shift
  • Responsible in ensuring that correct vision files are being utilized during production
  • Responsible for using correct vision files during production run and that it is active
  • Responsible in ensuring the correct module and UPP PID is being utilized for the job.
  • Works to achieve attainment of departmental goals
  • Follows established safety and environmental compliance
  • General maintenance and performance of the department
  • Ensure that the module being utilized is balanced.
Job Specifications:
  • Exposure to shop noise
  • Required to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a mechanical machinery
  • Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
  • Flexibility on schedule (must be able to work overtime and on weekends on an as needed basis)
  • Ability to look at work being produced in high speed environment for extended periods of time
  • Adheres to MasterCard and Visa association security standards
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar manufacturing role
  • High level of proficiency on all department equipment
  • Good attendance habits
  • Ability to comprehend and translate written work instructions and departmental procedures
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical trade school training is preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Safety conscious with a good understanding of general safety requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
