  • Great schedule- work 1/2 the nights of the year in this fulltime position on a 5-2-2-5 schedule (6pm- 6am on a 5 on, 2 off, 2 on, 5 off schedule)

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will

  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, inspect, calibrate, install, and support equipment. Systems include hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, overhead traveling cranes, gearboxes, rolls, and power transmission.

  • Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators to diagnose and perform repairs.

  • Create new parts with use of available machining centers.

  • Be a valued member of the maintenance team, interacting with production, electrical maintenance, and cross-functionally to ensure reliability of equipment, service, safety, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Three plus years' industrial / factory maintenance experience.

  • Experience in machining, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, plumbing, power transmission (including bearings, gearing, conveyors, fans, shaft alignment, sprockets and couplings), basic electrical, blue print reading (including interpreting mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics), overhead cranes and troubleshooting/repair.

  • Experience and proficient use of maintenance equipment and tools including metal working, drill presses, saws, and grinders.

  • Ability to use technical manuals/catalogs to reference replacement parts.

  • Great teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
