Overview

Job Summary:

    A&P mechanic will support modified KingAir 300. Cessna 404., Cessna 406 aircraft. This will include ensuring the assigned aircraft are maintained in accordance with Manufactures programs and FAA standards. Mechanics are responsible for all logbooks and that company reporting requirements are met. Must be able to operate independently in austere environments Conus/Oconus. Contributes as a team member to maintain high aircraft availability rates 365 days per year. Supervises any vendor technicians performing specialized inspections, repairs, or logistical support on or off site. Interfaces with domestic and foreign government representatives regarding the use of local logistical infrastructure. This will include Maintaining Traxxall maintenance tracking program and maintaining parts ordering, receiving, and shipping programs. Mechanics will usually operate alone on projects with very little supervision. Must be able to complete task fully and safely.

Essential Function

  • Utilizes core knowledge to troubleshoot aircraft on-ground and perform on-ground installation and servicing whenever possible to mitigate the need to repair the aircraft at an off-site repair location. Installs parts and documents maintenance performed in hard copy in the logbooks

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Complies with Army Regulation 95-20 as required by contract. When Applicable
  • Diagnoses, adjusts, or repairs aircraft engines and assemblies, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoots, installs and services avionics communications equipment and electrical system wiring while ensuring the equipment meets mandated requirements and specifications. Performs testing and calibration of avionic systems including computer and electronic communication panels.
  • Provides maintenance support at the aircraft location utilizing company provided ground support equipment (GSE) and tooling
  • Records spares, and tooling inventory to include receipt, issuance, and core tracking.
  • Perform phase inspections and unscheduled maintenance in compressed turn around cycles.
  • Tracks tooling for calibration requirements and ensures all equipment is calibrated in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
  • Packs core returns for shipment and supports the program by completing all necessary return and customs paperwork.
  • Owns assigned tasks from their initiation to completion/decision point.
  • Contributes to the overall success of the program by supporting customer needs and executing duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide recommendations for resolution of maintenance and logistical issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position will require a daily report of aircraft status
  • This job operates in field locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Travel and rotational deployment to CONUS and possibly austere OCONUS duty locations is required. Aircraft are widely spread throughout the US and Hawaii. Must be able to travel on short notice.

Education:

High school Diploma.

Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) 15+ years years' experience preferred

Required

Valid Driver's License

Valid Passport

Certifications/licensures PREFERRED for the position:

Inspection Authorization

FCC License

King Air Factory School

Pratt Whitney Factor School

HSI course

Additional Notes

Capable of lifting at least 75 pounds.

Ability to work extra hours when necessary.

Possess a current US Passport.

Able to secure necessary VISA(s)

Work Schedule

Rotation/ Selected hangers where required.

Workdays are 7 days a week 12 hour days while on rotation
