Job Description

Cannon Automotive Solutions, a divisionofCleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediateopportunity for aQuality Engineerin ourTillsonburg,OntarioStamping Facility.TheQualityEngineeris responsible foranalyzing all stages of the manufacturing system to maximize the quality ofthe products being produced. The ideal candidate will have priorknowledge of prevention planning and the correction of non-conformances, be self-motivated,and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Overseeroot cause analysis and implement corrective actionsfor process/ productrelated concerns
  • Enhance the Quality System with continuousimprovement activities,such as 5S, Kaizen,and lean methods
  • Develop, implement, and participate in training to build/ improvequality awarenessamong new and existing employees
  • Coach, mentor, and support a team of Quality Inspectors
  • Analyze failureand preventative actionstoensureatimely resolutiontoallcustomerconcerns/complaints
  • Plan, organize,and maintain quality documentation
  • Manage suppliers' performance and conductinternal/ externalaudits
  • Evaluateand examinethe company's product specifications to equalcustomer requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3yearsofsupervisory orrelated work experienceina manufacturing/ productionenvironment
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Ability toretain information andcommunicate effectively, both written and oral
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time/ lift 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to work 3-shift model: Midnights, Days, Afternoons, and required OT

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5years of supervisory or related work experience in a manufacturing/ production environment
  • Experience with computerized living documents (PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP)
