Coperion, a Hillenbrand company, is looking for a Senior Controller to join our team as a hybrid role in Sydney, OH. As a Senior Controller, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, managing and running of the financial operations in a timely and accurate way. This is a hybrid role and it includes overseeing the accounting department, as well as acting as a key member of the executive leadership team.

Work You'll Do:

* Aligns accounting and finance strategies with corporate goals to facilitate business growth and manages budgeting processes and capital expenditure.

* Acts as a liaison with divisional finance directors for forecasting, finance, and accounting topics across various business units.

* Handles quarterly/year-end audits, cost accounting, project accounting, income & capital taxes, and deferred tax declaration.

* Manages day-to-day treasury, cash forecast, cash management, payroll process, and its internal control, along with maintaining the ERP System and Payroll Software.

* Works closely with Site Lead, providing financial decision-making counsel, and participates in key business decisions as a member of the executive management team.

Team:

This role will be a part of a global finance team with direct responsibilities within the Coperion operating company.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in accounting
  • Demonstrated progression in responsibilities, with a focus on management
  • Extensive experience in managing budgeting processes, capital expenditure, and financial forecasting
  • Strong background in treasury management, including day-to-day operations, cash forecasting, and cash management
  • Proficiency in maintaining and managing ERP Systems and Payroll Software
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and acting as a liaison with divisional finance directors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a global team
