Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Highway Design team in Ohio! Candidates may be located anywhere in Ohio.

Our roadway design professionals undertake projects ranging in all sizes and complexities, providing conceptual planning, alignment studies, and preparing contract documents for construction of improvements to local and county roadway networks, and state and interstate highways. We develop alternative improvement plans to balance project costs with other factors including environmental, utility and property impacts.

**This position is not related to the IT, delivery and/or logistics industries**


Responsibilities

  • Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval.
  • Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
  • Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
  • Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
  • Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development.
  • Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisor's approval.
  • Ensure all scope revisions affecting the project schedule and/or budget are discussed with the client, as well as, all out-of-scope work and associated fees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • 8+ years experience in highway design working with ODOT.
  • PE license is required or through reciprocity.
  • Federal aid/Municipally funded project experience is a plus.
  • MicroStation, Geopak/InRoads and current OpenRoads experience.
  • Experience overseeing/mentoring project staff.
  • Marketing and business development experience is a plus.
