Are you a Certified Peer Supporter looking for a new opportunity?

Recovery Resources (a nonprofit comprehensive mental health/behavioral health organization) is seeking Care Response Peer Supporters who are passionate about providing quality care to help people triumph over mental illness and addiction. Recovery Resources has partnered regionally with Police & Fire Departments to provide a Care Response Program that supports Police and Fire throughout the region. This new community-based mental health response program will take a wholistic approach to mental health and addiction and will be hiring several positions.

As a Care Response Peer Support, you will be partnered with a Care Response Clinician, and be embedded with first responders to facilitate "real-time access in the moment" for residents who may benefit from mental health screening, assessment, and rapid access to support services.

You'll work with the Care Response Clinician and first responders to quickly answer calls, live or remote (telehealth). You will follow up with residents for wellness checks and assess if basic needs are met, and residents are linked to needed services. As a Care Response Peer Support, you'll assist in developing a guide/directory of services and agencies available for refer residents. You'll be part of an interdisciplinary team to review each day's mental/behavioral health calls/incidents and assist in developing communication processes within the team.

Recovery Resources benefits include competitive salary along with

  • Health, dental and vision insurance
  • Health savings account
  • Life insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Retirement plan
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • 11 paid holidays and two floating holidays
Qualifications

  • Two years of peer support working with diverse populations
  • Previous professional experience in crisis response or crisis intervention roles
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified Peer Recover Supporter Certification
  • A commitment to the mission of enhancing public safety through community-centered approaches to prevention and intervention.
