Overview

The Administrative Assistance III performs a wide variety of complex administrative activities for a Section Chief or Program Manager within the Dialysis Unit.

Schedule: PT, Mon/Tues/Weds/Fri 7:00am-5:30pm

Location: Central Campus (700 Childrens Dr.)

Responsibilities
    Accesses the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and CrownWeb server to manage data submissions, patient activities, demographics, current medical status, and lab values for all Dialysis patients monthly, referencing EMR for data.
  • Prepares and submits monthly patient census reports, and creates, maintains, and updates additional reports, studies, and presentations requested by the Program Manager.
  • Coordinates special projects and business events, and aids in training and orientation of colleagues, prepares department meeting minutes, which may include Strategic Partnership, QAPI, SCOPE, and educational offerings.
  • Works closely with the Purchasing Department to manage purchase orders (POs), ordering, and maintenance of specialty departmental supplies to provide necessary patient care support.
  • Conducts environment of care (EOC) rounds weekly to assure a safe and accident-free environment of care for the Dialysis Unit. Updates and maintains on-call schedule for Dialysis Nurses.
  • Assists in the transportation of correspondence, specimens, and requisitions to and from the Dialysis Unit to other departments within NCH.
Qualifications

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; business-related or professional development coursework, preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills when interacting with patients, parents, visitors, and hospital personnel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to facilitate independent working. Experience:
  • 3 years administrative experience, preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred.
