The Developer Experience and API Product team owns the vision for how we empower developers with innovative tools, products, and delightful self-service experiences.

Our team builds the API Platform and developer tools that enable Worldpay's integrations across the world. This team plays a pivotal role focusing on our API products and end-to-end user journeys in our developer portals. This team's priority is to drive the strategy that enables Worldpay to deliver world-class experiences at every customer touchpoint. Because this team unifies capabilities across the merchant product portfolio, this is a highly collaborative team that works closely with stakeholders across the organization as well as internal teams such as other Product leaders, UX, engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.

What you will be doing:

Worldpay powers the technology behind some of the most innovative companies in the world and is known as the leading provider in the industry. As the Product Analyst for API & Developer Experiences you will be responsible for building products, including any/all user-facing applications, APIs, and any partner relationships we leverage to deliver these experiences to our developer community. You will work closely with the engineers, architects, system analysts, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to help execute the product vision. The ideal candidate is an experienced Product Owner with real-world experience leading a product that is technical in nature, targeted for Developers.

The Product Analyst will be a product champion, a great team player who works with encouraging approach with cross functional teams. Curious, motivated, forward-thinking can-do attitude could join the team.

  • Define, maintain & prioritize backlog (user stories/features) to guide the agile software development team.

  • Analyze needs of the consuming applications to understand and articulate API needs.

  • Works with architecture and engineering leads to design and build scalable products.

  • Ability to review API specs and provide feedback.

  • Understands and advocates API Best Practices for all API products.

  • Creates product documentation and helps guide technical writers/analysts.

  • Participate in Product Support and maintenance activities along with operations teams.

  • Understands product strategy, market, industry, and client goals.

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.

  • Trains internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems, or new procedures.

  • Ability draft & define appropriately detailed specifications for the product features, so they are clearly understood by the development & QA teams and document them in the enterprise requirements planning tool.

  • Creates Sprint Release Plans with scrum master, project managers & development teams in alignment with priorities defined by the Product Manager.

  • Reviews and provides feedback on test plans to ensure application changes meet acceptance criteria.

What you bring:

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. .

  • Experience in software product development as a business analyst, product owner, developer, or equivalent role

  • Understanding of API Technologies (e.g: Open API 3.0, REST/JSON and SOAP/XML, API tools)

  • Understanding of agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum, SAFe, with competence to write concise user stories to communicate with the Engineering teams and to ensure feasibility.

  • Strong team player, comfortable collaborating with and coordinating the efforts of cross-functional colleagues.

  • Highly self-motivated with a strong will to win, ability to take ownership and desire to drive for optimal business results.

  • Ability to operate independently and effectively, under the supervision of Product Managers

  • Ability to adapt to and embrace frequent change with a positive attitude.
