Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior Network Administrator will serve as a Network Administrator for engineering and operations and will liaison with senior government personnel onsite at our Wright-Patterson Ohio location. Duties include but not limited to:

  • Performing network administration for local enclaves including hardware, firmware, software and wiring/optics.
  • The successful candidate will configure networks and associated supporting software and utilities to optimize system performance and will perform risk/benefit analysis prior to implementing changes.
  • The network administrator will maintain the network topology and diagrams to support security activities as well as maintain all network devices in accordance with DoD policies.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years' working experience, or equivalent experience; candidates with Armed Forces college courses or associate degrees, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Must meet DoD 8570.01M/ IAT-II requirements (i.e. Sec+).
  • The preferred candidate will have 4+ years' experience with HPC systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)/CentOS operating systems (OS) and Intel central processing units (CPU).
  • Experience working with Juniper, Cisco, Brocade, and other network technologies and firewalls is preferred.
  • A current, active TOP SECRET clearance is required prior to onboarding .

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to maintain a top-secret security clearance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; capable of analyzing and resolving hardware and operating system problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of management for planning and organizing site management projects.
  • Strong detail-oriented skills; able to multi-task and change priorities quickly.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information in an easily understood manner.
  • Able to meet precise standards.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to work designated schedule, as well as maintain attendance and punctuality.
