Description

The DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY at DENISON UNIVERSITY invites applications for a full-time position at the Assistant Professor level for the 2024-2025 academic year, to begin in August 2024. Teaching responsibilities consist of two courses in our introductory sequence, CHEM 131 (Atoms and Molecules: Structure and Dynamics) and CHEM 132 (Structure and Reactivity of Organic Molecules), which involve elements of general chemistry blended with organic chemistry. Both courses include an integrated classroom and laboratory component. The teaching load for this position is two courses with labs each semester.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field is preferred; candidates with teaching experience who have completed their doctoral research but not yet obtained the degree will be considered. Strong candidates will demonstrate a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level.
