Position Overview

At Exact Sciences, we are cancer fighters. We are united by our mission to change lives by providing earlier, smarter answers. Through advances in cancer detection and treatment guidance, we will help eradicate the disease and the suffering it causes. The Sales Generation Associate (known internally as Lead Generation Associate) plays an important role in supporting the commercial organization by calling prospective accounts, triaging sales calls, and performing other sales related activities. This role will work closely with the assigned regional team to complement the activities and sales objectives for the region by generating new leads.

These roles are based onsite at our Madison, WI offices. Relocation assistance may be provided if needed. The pay range for this hourly position is approximately $50-65k (based on experience). This role is also eligible for an annual target bonus of 10% (paid out quarterly), extensive benefits, and potential for a great career path on our sales team.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Activate healthcare providers and medical customers by investigating leads, utilizing analytical insights and business opportunities to uncover potential new business.
  • Effectively handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and triage to appropriate territory sales rep Screening Solutions Specialists or manager when necessary.
  • Ability to sell virtually using remote sales tools & resources.
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the customer database (CRM).
  • Make telephone sales presentations to multiple decision-makers within a variety of healthcare facilities.
  • Work with the field sales team to assist in profiling accounts, generating leads, and meeting sales objectives.
  • Conduct office onboarding.
  • Review and create sales reports as necessary.
  • Conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards, consistent with Exact Sciences guidelines and policies and regulatory requirements and upholding the company mission and value through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree Sales, Business Management, Marketing or, Science, or any other related field or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous sales, inside sale or account management experience.
  • Expertise in computer technology that is specific to virtual sales.
  • Experience in sales of medical devices or diagnostics.
  • Experience working with primary care physician targeted customers.
  • Background in commissioned, tangible product sales.

  • Ability to listen empathetically, understand information presented by people with different communication styles and different points of view, and mediate disagreements.
  • Effective organizational and proactive problem-solving skills.

Salary Range:

$51,000.00 - $81,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
