Associate Director Medical Education

We are seeking anAssociate Director of Medical Education. This is a key leadership position responsible for supporting the Director of Medical Education in overseeing and advancing medical education programs within the organization. The Associate Director is charged with elevating the Akron Children's academic profile by enhancing our existing fellowship programs, providing more robust support and development for fellowship directors and to strategically develop new specialty fellowships to address emerging needs in pediatric healthcare and in alignment with enterprise priorities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
2. Board certification in a medical specialty.
3. Demonstrated experience in medical education, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
4. Advanced degree in medical education, education, or a related field (preferred).
5. Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and requirements, such as those set by the ACGME.
6. Familiarity with competency-based education and assessment methodologies.
7. Experience in faculty development and supporting educators in medical education.
8. Proficiency in educational technology tools and platforms.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
