Joining Marvell as the Senior Manager of Security Engineering offers the chance to lead a critical component of our cybersecurity strategy. What You Can Expect

  • Lead and manage the Security Engineering team, focusing on the development and implementation of robust security solutions.

  • Drive the planning and execution of security projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and minimal disruption to operations.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the security engineering team, encouraging professional growth and talent development.

  • Develop strategies to establish operational excellence in security, optimizing security controls while minimizing downtime and business impact.

  • Collaborate closely with the Security PMO to ensure seamless integration of security solutions into the broader organizational landscape.

  • Act as a key advisor to the Senior Director on matters of security engineering, bringing deep technical expertise to strategic discussions.

  • Champion security awareness and training initiatives to enhance the security-centric culture across the organization.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and adjust security engineering processes and practices to ensure they remain effective and efficient.

  • Lead the development and management of end-point and vulnerability management programs, ensuring robust protection against threats.

  • Provide strong project management leadership, prioritizing tasks and managing resources effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive incident response and business continuity plans, ensuring preparedness for potential security incidents.

  • Collaborate with the SOC to enhance auditing, logging, monitoring, and alerting practices.

  • Engage in proactive risk assessment and management, ensuring that security solutions are aligned with the organization's risk profile.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent, with 10+ years of progressive experience in information security engineering, focusing on building robust security solutions.

  • Proven track record in project management within the cybersecurity domain, including the successful delivery of complex security projects.

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing high-performing cybersecurity teams.

  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience in designing and implementing comprehensive security solutions that align with business needs.

  • Strong knowledge of best practices in operational excellence and minimizing the impact of security measures on business operations.

  • Familiarity with information security management frameworks such as NIST/FIPS, ISO, CIS, CMU, SANS, OWASP, etc.

  • Strategic thinker with an ability to translate complex security requirements into effective operational solutions.

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent highly desirable.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

139,600 - 206,570, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model in which you will be able to split time between working from home and on-site in a Marvell office.
