Specific duties will include:

• Operate industrial forklift equipped to move materials around warehouse, as well as an electronic Pallet Jack for case pick functions
• Load and unload shipping containers/truck trailers
• Maintain the machines, equipment, and electrical components.
• Maintain equipment (lifts) for the facility and associated operating equipment.

Training/Skills:

• High school diploma or general education degree, one year of experience in operating a forklift, and forklift certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Current valid state driver's license
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends
• Abilities:
• Coordination skills to move controls, levers, and devises to drive industrial forklifts to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas
• Organize and secure materials where bales, boxes, sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored.
• Perform routine pre and post inspections on forklift equipment to ensure forklift equipment is operating well
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devises.
• Complete forklift operator training annually, provided by company
• Consult and work with managers, supervisors, employees, and equipment to coordinate loading and unloading operations
• Complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee is occasionally required communicate verbally with other staff members.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
