Position Summary:

To provide premier service to Parker's Groups, Divisions, Sales Companies and customers. The incumbent will manage a defined segment of the company's trade accounts receivable while having direct responsibility for both the risk assessment and recovery of the asset within their assigned groups or regions.

The scope of job is within the assigned region or group. The role will have a high level of interaction with the finance, sales and support services teams to include Group and Division Company Controllers. Requires ability to effectively work in a matrix environment. Leadership through influence is a key business skill.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish and approve credit limits that correspond to the levels of credit authority granted under the Global Credit Limit Policy.
  • Create and analyze regional trade receivables and key statistics reporting on a monthly or quarterly basis. Report formats consistent with Corporate Credit Standards and using Team Improvement Concepts.
  • Provide credit and collection support and engagement with all selling locations; support includes major customer workouts, consulting on key or complex credits and being a filter and approver for all control policies and processes.
  • Drive collections and recovery of the trade receivables consistent with company policies and cash flow objectives.
  • Develop and use risk mitigation tools to protect the trade receivable portfolio.
  • Stay informed on country, political and all related macro and geo-political issues that could impact the collectability or risk of the portfolio; liaison with the selling locations on such issues and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Create and manage forums that link all locations and support a high level of communication, interaction, benchmarking and sharing across the Regions, Groups and Divisions to include regular calls, account updates and portfolio reviews. Training and skill set development of the credit teams plus deployment and use of various analytical tools and applications to drive productivity, improved business intelligence and drive continuous improvement of the accounts receivable portfolio.
  • Perform bad debt and aged AR analysis to ensure reserve requirements are within Corporate guidelines.
  • Develop, manage and implement various trade finance solutions that are driven by market demands and support Corporate goals
  • Regularly update the Director of Corporate Credit, Division(s), Group(s), Regional and Corporate management on pertinent information related to the AR portfolios.
  • Travel to Parker locations as needed to evaluate compliance with Corporate policies, review and audit of the location portfolio, share and enact best practices across the different site locations, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. Advanced degree preferred
  • 7 + years' experience in business credit and trade finance with industrial and multi-national experience preferred
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Access, PowerBI, etc.
  • Strong international, cross-border, trade finance skill sets to include UCP, UCC, Bankruptcy laws, Arbitration rules, Conventions on trade, Lien and asset protection laws, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Must possess strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Task- and goal-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions
