General Summary:

The Process Engineer will support manufacturing by designing and developing all new processes and optimizing current processes throughout the corporation. Establish, review, and adjust materials and labor standards in production and project estimate planning

Essential Duties:

  • Research, design, and develop processes to optimize productivity and workflow
  • Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures
  • Verify bills of materials, dimensional part drawings, and estimates for new and current products as needed
  • Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations
  • Coordinate and support Project Engineers, Automation Engineers and Outsourcing as required to develop complete technical specifications
  • Project management - create timelines and flow charts, and coordinate meetings for effective communication throughout the team
  • Research and develop new technology to help improve production processes.
  • Develop and coordinate training for technical staff
  • All other duties assigned by Manager

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skill Requirements:

  • Understanding of plastic molding process design
  • Knowledge in the fields of Injection and/or blow molding of plastic products
  • 2-4 years of experience in plastic processing and manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to acquire further knowledge and experience through training opportunities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Solidworks, and Ladder Logic Programming.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is largely a sedentary role, requiring use of typical office equipment such as a computer, copy machine, laptop and cell phone. May be required to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Much of the work is completed in an office / lab environment; however, some work will take place on the production floor.
