Job Description

Loan Servicing Analyst

(This is a primarily office-linked role in our downtown Cleveland office.)

Since 2014, Upright, formerly Fund That Flip, has challenged the status quo of slow, unreliable capital and gate-keeping into investment deals. We've grown into an end-to-end financial technology platform that helps entrepreneurs and investors generate wealth and make an impact in their own communities across the country.

We are doubling down on our commitment to an exceptional borrower experience. For our Loan Servicing Analysts, that means quickly and accurately analyzing, coordinating, and processing construction draws, payments, extensions, and payoffs.

Who You Are

You notice the little things. This high attention to detail allows you to quickly pinpoint problems, backing them up with data and facts, to arrive at a valid conclusion consistently. A tight deadline brings out the best in you, as someone who loves to organize your tasks, collaborate with your team, and get things done.

What You'll Do

As a Loan Servicing Analyst, you will work collaboratively with internal and external parties to set up and process all functions related to servicing a loan as it moves through the lending lifecycle. This includes managing requests submitted by the Account Management team for:

  • payoffs

  • loan extensions

You will work diligently to ensure quick and accurate outcomes for our borrowers, partnering closely with the Account Managers to care for the borrower's loan experience behind the scenes.

You'll become a knowledge expert in the Loan Servicing System (LSS), responsible for creating and updating borrower accounts, applying borrower payments, reconciling loan payoff statements, applying loan extensions, and ensuring data added into the LSS is accurate by cross-comparing between systems.

You'll deliver high-quality service and communications to our 3rd party servicing partners, enabling us to provide exceptional service to our borrowers.

Day in the Life

Each day you're likely to spend time with your fellow Loan Servicing Analysts, sharing any issues that have popped up and collaborating on ideas to solve them.

You will work in a first in first out (FIFO) capacity. As requests come in, you will be responsible for processing them in a timely manner.

You'll be a key part of the success of our business by creating an exceptional borrower experience for the longest part of our lending relationship - from loan close to payoff. Your timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism during this time will make a significant impact on our opportunity to retain the customer and receive repeat business.

Preferred Qualifications & Experiences

  • 1 year of experience in real estate or construction

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Customer Relationship Management systems and Google Suite

  • Technical proficiency, with knowledge of the following tools (used frequently in the role) preferred, but not required:

    • Microsoft Office Applications

    • Adobe Acrobat

    • Google Workspace

    • Slack

  • Preferred candidates are in the Cleveland, Ohio area or are able to commute to our Cleveland office.
