The Tender Coordinator will be responsible for interpretation of client needs and scopes of work and preparation of commercial proposal and tenders for Fugro Coastal Resilience & Ocean Science business line

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk
  • Liaise with others to ensure that all proposals have a solid technical approach within Fugro's capabilities.
  • Ensure tenders and proposals are issued with terms and conditions that satisfy local standards, particularly with regard to liability & indemnity, insurance, and consequential damages.
  • To ensure quoted prices are compliant with the divisional and regional strategies of Fugro (through discussion with the respective divisional and regional directors).
  • To ensure tenders are issued on time and address the client's scope of work.
  • Ensure all tenders are reviewed and signed off according to company rules.
  • Ensure that tender specific terms and conditions of contract are reviewed by legal counsel and exceptions detailed in the tender.
  • Undertaking contract negotiations.
  • Taking on Client enquiries and moving them towards provision of a proposal.
  • Follow up of proposals issued and properly update the status with the latest information.
  • Client meetings to discuss scopes of work and services.
  • Responsibility for maintaining the commercial workspace, specifically.
  • Assist to maintain all current Client MSAs.
  • Liaison with legal counsel on the preparation of MSAs.
  • Assist to ensure that existing Fugro MSAs are up to date and accurate.
  • Assist to maintain up to date technical specifications.
  • Liaison with the Techshop manager on third party cost updates.
  • Assist to maintain vendor pricelists.
  • To help to insert, maintain and update Fugro's Avalon CRM database and ensure that all entries are correctly entered and aligned with each entry latest information.
  • Support commercial team to prepare proposals when needed, working as a team.

Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
  • Possess a degree in Oceanography or Marine Science required.
  • Have 2 years or more of Metocean, environmental or hydrography experience preferred.
  • Have 1 or more as a tender coordinator or in commercial.
  • A thorough knowledge of various ocean sciences standards.
  • Complete understanding and knowledge of metocean / environmental / hydrography procedures and standards.
  • Proficiency in use of office application software
