Description

Specific duties will include:


* Promote quality performance within the QA department and IFS.
* Head of or participant in the teams; HACCP, Product Recall, Crisis Management.
* Assist the Quality Manager on internal audits and ensure Audit Schedule is up to date.
* Supervise QA audit personnel assignments.
* Collect and report data for quality levels, incidents, and /or non-conformance.
* Manage training for QA Audit personnel.
* Ensure the process of QA audit records are accurate and properly retained.
* Supervise and follow up on the approval and release of materials and finished product.
* Ensure customer First Article inspections are completed on time.
* Manage training files (hardcopy and digital records) for IFS employees.
* Provide release documentation as specified by the customer and communicate releases
* Utilize the WMS inventory quarantine and any physical means needed to ensure materials and product requiring hold and
release are controlled until QA approval to release.
* Communicate internally and to customers for approvals and reporting of issues requiring resolution.
* Report non-conformance of product and materials to suppliers and customers for corrective action.
* Perform a final check on batch records and reconciliation reports to approve release of finished goods.
* Assist the Quality Manager on client complaints and perform root-cause investigations to provide upon request.
* Record Deviations for raw material or finished good process.
* Maintain records of Testing Frequency and Logs such as Calibration, Validation, Non-Conformance and Document Control.
* Manages Environmental Monitoring Program. (EMP's) and Pest Control.
* Develop and update CAPAs, SOPs, Work Instructions, Job Aids and Controlled Forms.
* Additional duties may be assigned.


Training/ Skills:


* Expert knowledge of food safety, HACCP, cGMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, SQF, FDA, pest control, allergen control, recall
programs, and environmental monitoring.
* HACCP, SQF and PCQI certifications are preferred.
* BS/ BA degree or comparable experience.
* Previous supervisory experience.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Strong oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English required. Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office, including WORD and EXCEL (Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, etc)
