Starting pay for Maintenance Machinist position is$34.95per hour and will receive an increase to $35.82November 2024. Successful candidates will receive a $500 sign-on bonus after completing 6 months of employment. This role may be called one of the following at another company: Manual Machinist, Machinist, Toolmaker.

Job Accountabilities
TheMaintenance Machinistduties include, but not limited to:
- Must have significant experience in operating production machines
- Diagnoses or troubleshoots machines or equipment to determine malfunction and the need for adjustment or repair
- Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment
- Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, moves, sets-up and operates all types of equipment and machine tools
Minimum requirements include, but not limited to:
- Safety orientated
- Currently holds a journeyman machinists cardOR the equivalent of 6 years direct machinist experience
- Full understanding of manual lathes, surface grinders, and related shop equipment
- Good mathematical skills
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
- Possess a team orientated attitude
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers and indicators
- A good mechanical aptitude and background is a must
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts and rotating schedule
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
- The team member frequently is required to climb or balance and talk or hear.
- The team member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
