Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other teams and communicate effectively. The SPMM will report directly to the Director of Product Marketing.
Responsibilities:
This position will lead cross-functional, go-to-market activities for Trimble Transportation, working closely with sales, product management, and other teams to drive product adoption and product revenue, while helping the team quickly react to real-world customer and field feedback
Positioning & Messaging: Develop positioning and key messaging to ensure appropriate market positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas. Who is the product/feature intended for, how does it solve their challenges/fit their needs, what does it do, and how is it different/unique to what's available on the market today.
Be the subject matter expert about your customers' journey and supported products and how to optimize communications to create good experiences
Drive sales enablement by creating sales assets, training and tools, while emphasizing how to communicate the value of our products
Champion product strategy, needs, accuracy and position through marketing initiatives throughout the marketing and sales organization
Collaborate with the entire marketing department to best leverage Trimble assets to support lead generation, product adoption, customer retention and new sales
Gather and create an ongoing roadmap for supported product launches
Understand our competitive landscape and research competitor offerings to react when appropriate. What are they best known for?
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in B2B Product Marketing; preferably technology focused
Requires Degree in marketing, communications or related field
Experience working in a Technology or Software based company
Preferred Skills:
This candidate must possess superior verbal and written communication skills
Prefer experience working in or serving the transportation industry
Strong computer skills are critical. Knowledge of G-Suite for Business is essential
Must bring a demonstrated ability to learn new software and technical concepts
A clear understanding of marketing concepts such as message, personas, target audience and positioning
A clear understanding of software life cycle marketing and ability to adapt message, audience and meaning according to life cycle stages
Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other teams and communicate effectively while also
working independently as needed
Excellent organizational skills with a proven record of managing multiple, high priority projects simultaneously with a proven attention to detail
An energetic, mature self-starter who efficiently completes tasks in a fast-paced environment and is not afraid of leadership is the perfect candidate
Requires the ability to create, track and report on product launch KPIs including sales outcomes
Ability to assist Product and Marketing with research activities related to competitive analysis, audience and market size
Must be able to think strategically, while supporting tactical level decisions and asset reviews
Strategic mindset possessing the ability to translate ideas into action: understand and conceptualize how a piece of functionality can be visualized, messaged, positioning and understood by its intended audience
