Job/Internship Description

Title: Buyer/Planner Intern

Start Date: Part-Time Spring 2023 (virtual around school schedule), Full Time Summer 2023 based in Dayton office

Location: Dayton, OH

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring sales orders are shipped quickly and efficiently by working with colleagues in the RFC (regional fulfillment centers)

  • Responsible for maintaining scheduled ship dates in the system to provide accurate information to Customers, Sales and Order fulfillment

  • Manage assigned product backlog and shortages in all RFCs

  • Responsible for running MRP workbench regularly, opening requisitions, as well as, opening and managing work orders to pack out FGI kits for assigned products

  • Responsible for resolving supply shortages by working with planners, buyers and the greater Trimble Global Supply Chain

  • Responsible for planning the production scheduling for all RFCs worldwide

  • Responsible for resolving issues with sales orders and managing priorities by working with Order Management, Sales, Customers, Product Marketing or Export department

  • Communicates backlog status and shortages daily via the backlog report and run stats for weekly Ops report

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working toward completion of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Basic knowledge of supply chain/operations
