We have an opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Manager (Lean Manufacturing) to join our manufacturing team in Ashland, OH. In this critical leadership role, you will lead and manage cross-functional projects aligned with business-wide strategic priorities for improving manufacturing operations and business processes. You will apply process analytical skills to lead organizational transformation. You will embody Lean Enterprise principles and techniques that focus on optimizing value through fact-based decision processes. You will:

  • Coach, and mentor, the business toward a continuous improvement culture that fosters daily improvement involving all team members.
  • Direct and drive projects to achieve business goals by reducing waste, errors, and defects.
  • Develop and maintain the site's Lean transformation plan, including value stream mapping, leading Kaizen events to drive clear measurable outcomes and deliverables, and leading process improvement analysis/standardization.
  • Lead Lean Assessment preparation and develop improvement plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide Lean status reports for both internal and external communications including metric-based accomplishments of the transformation plan.
  • Partner with new product development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM).

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent preferred. Exceptions may be made for significant experience in Lean manufacturing.
  • Have 5+ years of experience participating in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement, including knowledge and experience with Lean, 6 Sigma, 5S, or other related principles.
  • Experience managing and directing a team of manufacturing or engineering professionals.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified required. Black Belt preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of manufacturing/operations financial principles, including understanding how operating costs, processes, and materials affect gross margins, operating income, etc. and a proven track record of achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to utilize relevant software, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), data analytics (MiniTab, Excel, or Power BI), and Microsoft Office Suite.
