Starting pay for Machine Repair position is $23.76 per hour and will receive contractual increases as scheduled.  After 18 months of employment the rate increases to 95% $25.08 per hour and at 36 months of employment the rate increases to 100% $26.40.  This role may be called one of the following at another company: Technician, Mechanic, Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance & Repair, Maintainer.

Crown currently has openings for Machine Repair technicians at our Dayton, OH facility due to expansion. Here is your opportunity to help on the Dayton team that manufactures millions of beverage can ends per day. The Machine Repair duties include:

  • Responsible for the mechanical performance of line and standard production output
  • Diagnoses or troubleshoots machines or equipment to determine malfunctions and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Performs mechanical repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment. 
  • Lubricates and cleans parts, installs, moves, sets-up and operates all types of equipment and machine tools. 
  • Performs any dismantling, fitting or assembly work required for maintenance.
  • Reads blue prints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required.

Safety oriented.

5-7 years experience as maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.

Must be experienced in maintenance and repair of production machines and equipment. 

Must be available to work 12 hour shifts.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
