18 Coffees is currently seeking a Marketing Intern to join our early-stage consulting firm. The 18 Coffees Marketing Intern will support the Director, Content & Community with our community's communications and content from start to finish: from email distribution to social media marketing to monthly community programming focused on social impact and professional development. They are a people person with great customer service skills, an ability to connect with community members from a diverse group, and an interest in working with mission-driven leaders and organizations. This person will have opportunities to flex their creative writing, design, and marketing skills by creating content that supports our business goals to raise brand awareness, drive engagement, and expand community membership. 18 Coffees is a rapidly growing company. This internship is a hybrid role of remote and in-person work in our Chicago office. For the right individual someone wanting to help build something from the ground up, scale a passionate community, and make a positive impact this position offers potential for rapid advancement and growth into a full-time position. What will you be doing, and what kind of impact will you be making? Within 1 month, youll: Learn about 18 Coffees consulting work and Community Partnership program, understanding our firms differentiated value offerings for consulting clients and digital community membersFamiliarize yourself with 18 Coffees branding and tone of voiceDive into the Community Partner communications process to organize and distribute monthly emails Be a Slack pro, communicating and collaborating seamlessly with the 18 Coffees team in a hybrid work atmosphere and driving thoughtful conversations on community channels to engage Community PartnersAttend Community Partnership program events as a representative of 18 CoffeesDevelop graphic assets for digital marketing campaigns Within 3 months, you'll: Draft engaging content for the firm's blog, Member Portal, and social channelsSupport content optimization according to SEOContribute to innovative programming and partnership ideation for the communityBegin analyzing web traffic, social media, and email marketing metrics and report insights to the Director, Content & CommunityIdeate and help plan meaningful, on-brand programming ideas for our community membersProactively identify community need areas and solutions to member attrition or engagement challenges Within 6 months, you'll: Measure Community Partnership recruitment strategy results, tracking and interpreting tangible key performance metricsSupport programming pipeline of innovative events and trainings, from concept through executionConsistently report on web traffic metrics, using quantitative insights to refine content strategy and deliver updates to the broad 18 Coffees teamStay up-to-date on industry trends, contribute to programming brainstorms, and generate new content ideasIndependently ideate, launch, and report on a standalone capstone marketing campaign with strategic support from the content team Requirements Recent graduate with a marketing, communications, journalism, or business degree, or a current junior or senior pursuing a degree in related fieldsStrong interest in social impact and desire to learnExcellent verbal communication skillsExcellent writing skillsAttention to detail and ability to multitaskKnowledge of online marketing and marketing channelsUnderstanding of or experience with social media management for brandsBasic graphic design skills and design tools (Photoshop, Adobe Spark, etc) a strong plusBasic technical knowledge of HTML, SEO and web publishing a strong plus Benefits Hybrid role (a mix of remote and in-person/Chicago work)Flexible hoursTraining & Development Why 18 Coffees 18 Coffees is an innovation and change management firm that helps mission-driven companies get a foothold in the future.
