Position Summary

The person in this position will be responsible for assisting one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of hardware engineering. Assignments and projects will involve implementing test strategies, troubleshooting, creating documentation, and validating performance and functionality of electrical systems employed in company product lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interprets, and executes electrical test requirements and specifications.
  • Validates functional test kits for hardware assemblies to be used by vendors
  • Assists with troubleshooting designs using test equipment and proper analysis techniques
  • Implements test strategies to validate product designs and viable component replacements
  • Creates comprehensive and clear documentation of test procedures and technical reports
  • Perform various types of hands-on technical support including soldering, wiring, and cable assembly.
  • Performs administrative tasks related to product development, test, and support
  • Assumes responsibility for the accuracy of work processes and flow of multiple tasks

QualificationsTraining and/or Experience:
  • Degree seeking in Electrical or Computer Engineer with an expected graduation on or before 2024
  • Have experience or shows interest in any of the following core competencies. Computer System Architecture, digital logic design, digital and analog circuitry analysis, electromagnets
  • Have experience or shows interest in design validation and verification testing processes and automation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Basic knowledge of electrical engineering theory, principles and procedures
  • Ability to use standard measurement equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters
  • Exposure to modern testing equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, multi-meters, function generators, and spectrum analyzers
  • Ability to debug electronic circuits and electrical wiring harnesses.
  • Basic knowledge of various programming languages such as Assembly, VHDL, C/C++.
  • Self-motivated starter with the ability to work individually and with a group.
  • Willingness to participate and learn all phases of product development.
  • Follows directions according to protocols and methods
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal skills
