  • Customer: create customer focused features to improve customer satisfaction along the customer journey for a lifetime as they move-in to a residence, pay their bill, and report outages.
  • Transmission & Distribution: Develop new feature applications for field workers and job schedulers that streamline and automate new service requests.

What you'll do:


As an Application Configuration Analyst on the Digital Factory Feature team at FirstEnergy, you will have an impact on the team's success. The position will be exposed to technical skills and business process used in this area. The position will involve:

  • Managing Governance for Google analytics and Tag manager and responding to analytics requests for our websites
  • Supporting and administration of Adobe Experience Manager
  • Working with platform support and applications groups for monitoring servers, databases, applications, and job scheduling using tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Creating and modifying various scriptsthroughout the environment (Groovy, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Administer and support various software tools including configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and project management including but not limited to Adobe Experience manager, Google Analytics, Google tag manager, Sonar cloud, Mend, and Swift type
  • Training in the skill sets needed to meet individualized objectives and development needs.
  • Assisting with the triage of production support issues and operational activities
  • Performing production deployments with the application teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or related degree with 2 years of related experience. In lieu of degree, 4 years related experience required.
  • Related experience includes, but is not limited to: Technical background with IT Infrastructure and Technologies preferred, including Windows Server and Linux Operating Systems; Basic coding/scripting experience or completed coursework in one or more robust coding languages (Groovy, PowerShell).
  • Experience in agile project management methods including milestones, progress status, proper documentation, and deliverables with the ability to prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, presentation,
  • Ability to work effectively across the organization with other IT and Business departments
  • Willingness to learn and grow within an expanding Splunk/IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work with complex systems containing many moving parts.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills to define and solve problems and think creatively.
  • Readiness to undertake assignments involving unfamiliar subjects, as well as work independently and productively, with the aptitude to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and plan work, multi-task and meet schedules.

Qualifications at the Job Title Level III include all the above plus:

  • Bachelor Degree with 4 years of related experience required. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of related experience required.
  • Working knowledge of relevant work experience

Qualifications at the Job Title Level IV include all the above plus:

  • Bachelor Degree with 7 years of related experience required. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of related experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant work experience
