General Summary:

***1 opening on 2nd shift and 1 opening on 3rd shift***

The purpose of a Set-Up Technician is to provide support to direct manufacturing activities. This is in the form of setting up work cells, machines and molds, fixtures and secondary equipment, and the proper removal and storage of molds and fixtures and maintaining mold records. The position will require familiarity with quality expectations. In addition, each associate must ensure the parts being manufactured and packaged to meet customer expectations within the standards set for each job. Each associate must understand the production standards and communicate any variances to the standards to their supervisor. All associates are expected to perform all activities in a safe manner and report any safety concerns or injuries immediately. Work areas are to be maintained in a clean and organized state at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and tear down robots, sprue pickers and other support equipment
• Set up and tear down injection molds in injection molding machine
• Plumb water and hydraulic lines
• Set up work station
• Use of ERP/MRP system to transfer and track tooling
• Be capable of setting up and operation of fixture and secondary equipment in working order to include and not limited to robot/cnc auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employer, customers, and suppliers.
• Uphold a strong desire to learn new and changing technologies.
• Must know and properly use all aspects of the company LOTO program for an authorized employee.
• Must possess a Flambeau Inc. issued forklift license.
• Store and document molds and fixtures via standard operating procedures.
• Requires the ability to continue learning and comprehending hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems and controls.
• Must know the essentials of machine control systems and be able to input existing job logs into required presses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Skill Requirements:

• Must be at a skilled mechanics level
• Must be proficient in mold processing of existing jobs, materials and secondary and robot/cnc equipment of blow molding and/or injection molding processes.
• Must be mechanically inclined. Work with electronics and hydraulics.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to get along with fellow associates, supervisors, and management.
• Sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required tasks.
• Quality and quantity performance standards under normal supervision should be attained from one to three years.

• Continuously lifting or moving material

2nd shift differential pay = $1.50

3rd shift differential pay = $1.00
