The Ameriprise Financial Technology team provides corporate computing, network infrastructure support, and technology to clients, advisors and employees. The Technology Intern Program offers the opportunity to contribute to the success of the company by delivering technology solutions to support the evolving needs of our clients, advisors, and employees. You will gain direct professional experience and a broad understanding of the Ameriprise Technology organization by performing tasks and projects. Examples of intern assignments may include the following areas: * Information Security * Business and Data Analytics * Technology Infrastructure and Operations * Application and Web Development * Client Technology Experience * Technology Architecture * Cloud Engineering About the Internship Program: Our 11-week summer intern program provides experience in a collaborative and inclusive environment. As an Ameriprise Financial intern, you will gain exposure to leaders, cultivate your business intuition, work on projects that directly impact the business, and network in a welcoming atmosphere. In addition, you will have access to our Business Resource Networks, including the Black Employee Network, Young Professionals Network, PRIDE Network, and others! Preferred Qualifications * High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics * Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities * Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills * Ability to work and communicate collaboratively with others * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite * Previous work experience in Technology preferred * Experience in development/programming/coding * Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn and apply new tools and processes * First level knowledge and/or demonstrated technical ability to understand code and technology infrastructure in multiple environments The company does not offer corporate undergraduate internships for students with F-1 visas. Responsibilities As a Technology intern, you will be assigned a specific business unit to support based on business need and chosen candidate interest. Responsibilities vary depending on assigned projects(s) and may include: * Defining business requirements * Developing user acceptance test plans * Developing SOW and cost-benefit analysis * Developing documents, test and modify new or existing code * Develop working knowledge of systems and processes Examples of past intern projects include: * Data Lake and Data Analysis * SharePoint & dashboard development * Deployment of Microsoft Teams & Edge Required Qualifications * Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field * Graduation date of December 2022 or May/June 2023 * Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher * Interested in gaining broad experience in Technology * Demonstrated leadership experience
