Northrop Grumman is seeking Software Engineers Interns to join Tactical Space Division. This position will be located in Dulles, VA.

We are seeking a Software/Computer/Electrical/Aerospace Engineer who is motivated to learn and excel in an embedded software development environment for immediate support of National Security Space programs. Candidates will participate in software requirements analysis and specification, test planning from unit to system level, planning and performing software qualification tests and writing test reports as part of teams developing software for both existing and in-development spacecraft programs.

In addition to developing software, candidates should be familiar with basic electrical engineering practices as they apply to integration and debugging of avionics systems in a laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in C/C++ programming, hands on experience with real-time operating systems (VxWorks) and be knowledgeable of embedded software development, integration and test of aerospace systems. An understanding of waterfall, spiral and Agile software development processes and continuous integration using Jenkins is valuable and the ability to use open source tools to perform software rapid prototyping is also desirable.

Salary Range: $1.00 - $1.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
