This summer internship is a 10 week program and will work on a variety of underwriting projects and tasks. Multiple intern positions are available at Anthem's office in Atlanta, GA.

_Essential duties will include, but are not limited to:_

- Assist in the analyzing of data. Educate the audience on the meaning of this data and what story it tells. Make recommendations based on the findings of this analysis.
- Work with the Agile Resource Train (ART) to analyze, develop, and validate projects and data.
- Work with the "A-Team" to help develop and implement projects to improve the underwriting function.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Make recommendations to management related to development of the intern program.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university during internship. Majors include Actuarial Science, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related degrees.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the use of MS applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- A previous internship experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership ability as evidenced in extra-curricular activities is preferred
