Job/Internship Description

Description:

Engineering Interns will work with the Operations team to propose, design, program, and implement automated building systems. These systems will utilize state-of-the-art solutions to reduce costs, improve efficiency, meet sustainability goals, and boost the value of customers buildings, while maintaining a productive, comfortable, secure environment.

Principal Responsibility:

1.Develop a strong working knowledge of building control solutions and lead strategic development and product platform design for building automation systems of the customer product lines.

2.Prepare technical design drawings, specifications, calculations and supporting documents for company product offering.

3.Provides product and solutions application design and support for both internal and external customers.

4.Provide technical advice to the sales capture efforts to develop, sell, and successfully implement product or service solutions that will meet the customers needs.

5.Collaborate with strategic consultants and users to define their needs, develop applicable solutions, and influence their adoption into project specifications.

6.Drive new product acceptance into the technical/contracting community and accelerate adoption of highly technical concepts.

7.Be active in maintaining subcontractor and vendor relationships.

8.Shape future products by translating customer needs (technical related) into concepts the operations team can execute on.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Currently pursuing or obtained a Bachelors Degree in a STEM field (engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, etc.) or related degree program

Must have interpersonal and teamwork skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively

Experience operating computer assisted engineering and design software programs (programs such as Autocad, Visio, Revit, etc.)

Must have proficient PC experience in the Windows environment, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
