TheDATA COLLECTION/SERVICE INTERNwill be responsible forproviding administrative and telephonic support for department working on HEDIS data collection in a fast paced environment in order to meet deadlines to increase rates. Candidate will work under the direction of the Lead to assist and fulfill requests by contacting and corresponding with provider practices. A high degree of professionalism and telephonic dialog is expected to be maintained at all times.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Intern will be required to verify information and communicate with provider offices to make requests for medical records, coordinating the exchange of files, and thorough follow-up with providers as needed.
- Intern will also be responsible to assist team by conducting research within the company's claims and medical record systems to locate where members received care.
- Candidate must also be able to maintain fax equipment and support the Lead and team by performing all of the required clerical/administrative activities for the initiatives identified.
- Interns may be directed to call members to inquire about the provider of their care.
- Intern will provide frequent status updates and identifybarriers as identified or requested by Lead.
- Candidate may also assist with medical record review and abstraction.



QUALIFICATIONS

_Student Qualifications:_

- Pursuing a degree inHealthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Adminstration
- This internship is from June to December and is 40 hours per week/or 20 hours per week depending on school schedule in a virtual setting
- Must be enrolled fulltime at an accredited college or university during internship
- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
