This position applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting government and/or manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents. Work requires judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor (team Logistics Lead) or higher-level technician.
Assist in the duties of composite tool kit (CTK) custodian for the Division by maintaining, inspecting, and updating CTK’s (approximately 5800 tools) and complying with applicable AF Instructions (WRS OI 21-101, TO 00-20-1).
Assist in the duties of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) coordinator for the Division, managing equipment calibration cycles (approximately 2000 equipment items), training TMDE users, entering new equipment into the TMDE database, and other requirements as called out by the applicable AF regulations (WRS OI 21-113, TO 00-20-14).
Assist in the duties of logistics operations personnel by identifying and documenting maintenance requirements for support equipment (approximately 750 items), maintaining appropriate maintenance documentation, coordinating the performance of maintenance as required, and other requirements as called out by the applicable AF regulations (WRS OI 21-2, TO 00-20-1).
Assist in self-inspections within the division to ensure compliance by users to logistics requirements and advise the Logistics Team Lead as to the proper fix for discrepancies.

High School Diploma
3 years direct experience or advanced education and 2 years direct experience
