What your job will be like:
Looking for an opportunity to grow and develop in the Cybersecurity field? We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Graduate Student Intern to assist with operation of the laboratory's cybersecurity program and the development of solutions to cybersecurity challenges - come and join our team!


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in monitoring, investigations, application evaluations and software development
  • Assist with documentation and audits
  • Interact with other groups in the CNI Department/IT Division
  • Write moderately complex scripts using Python, Powershell, or BASH



Qualifications We Require:

Education:

  • Applicant must be a full-time graduate student enrolled in a local university with a GPA of 2.5 or better, majoring in Computer Science or a program with a concentration in Cybersecurity. Proof of full-time status and copies of transcripts are required (unofficial copies are acceptable).

Other:

  • Must have home broadband network access
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be available to work 18-20 hours per week during school sessions and 40 hours per week between school sessions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess a working knowledge of the various Microsoft Windows OS versions, any Linux variant, Mac OS X, TCP/IP networking and software development
  • Adhere to written and verbal instructions, understand and follow established lab policies, with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to program using C, JAVA, or other language along with the expertise to write moderately complex scripts using Python, Powershell, BASH, or others is extremely important
