Job Description

The Engineering Intern is assigned to a company location for a 10-12 week, full-time, summer program. Each intern will be provided a Mentor who will assign daily activities and assist with training. Engineering Interns will be given a list of goals to complete throughout the summer and summarize their experience with a final Presentation.


Responsibilities may include:

*Learn how to write RFI's and track quantities
*Assist with Estimating, Survey, Takeoffsand Quality Control
*Night Shift experience
*Assist the Safety Manager with weekly audits, investigations, and toolbox talks

*Office and field administrative duties

*Become familiar with reading Plan Drawings
*Interaction with Project Foreman and Superintendent
*Working with the crew onsite
*May work with HCSS heavy bid software, Bluebeam, & Primavera job scheduling software

Qualifications:

*Currently pursuing a B.S or M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
*Excellent written & verbal communication skills
*Desires a career in heavy civil construction management
*Must be able to legally work in the United States on a permanent basis
