PURPOSE: To accomplish daily tasks related to the efficient use of vinyl material and to support the computer systems in operation at Cornerstone Building Brands/Silver Line-Marion. To perform a variety of job functions in a self-sufficient manner and to use problem solving skills to determine root cause and corrective actions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to):

• Train saw operators in the proper utilization of vinyl material and the use of the TPS (Total Positioning System) software.
• Provide local technical support to quickly identify and fix problems with computer and software systems.
• Create various reports for Production and Receiving Departments.
• Use various computer programs such as SB Client, WinTrak, GED software (Glass on Demand, WinCUT, WinScreen, etc.), TPS, and Microsoft Office to assist users and improve production.
• Identify and edit various download issues. Report issues to proper support teams.
• Calibrate TPS saw positioner systems and troubleshoot issues.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop understanding of Vinyl Window manufacturing plant business and products.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to troubleshoot saw related mechanical issues.
• Run network cable and terminate ends. (Scissor lift experience helpful.)
• Maintain production printing operation.
• Repair computers, replace accessories.

DIRECTION OF OTHERS:

• Train 24 saw operators while performing primary responsibilities and basic IT tasks.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills with some post high school IT training desirable.
• Knowledge of Silver Line Window vinyl part inventory helpful.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Self-motivated problem solver.
• Decent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word with willingness to attend additional training.
