The Process Engineer supports pilot plant operations by evaluating processes, processing parameters, and equipment for producing soluble coffee and liquid beverage research samples. The Process Engineer assists process engineers and specialists in the evaluation of new components and equipment for production of powdered and liquid beverages, and develops engineering solutions to ensure new and existing lines are properly designed and maintained to achieve manufacturing excellence in operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts in the pilot plant
  • Coordinate maintenance planning and calibration scheduling for the pilot plant
  • Support ongoing operations in the pilot plant via issue identification and work order management
  • Participate in Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities within the department and facility
  • Participate in Digital activities within the facility and lead in the pilot plant
  • Support pilot plant trials and new equipment, as required
  • Comply with Nestle Quality Management System and all other company policies and procedures
  • Lead and support operation improvement initiatives
  • Support Project teams to set and maintain standards - for new and existing technologies
  • Support Sustainability Roadmap for the site
  • Manage contract resources for Pilot Plant improvements both facility and operational
    • Support in overseeing contract resources through the completion of facility and operational pilot plant improvements
  • Team member on the Breakdown Analysis across Pilot Plants
  • Ensure prioritized breakdowns are driven in an efficient manner
  • Target recurring issues with robust solutions

Job Qualifications (Minimum Education, Experience, and Knowledge)

  • BSc Degree in Engineering (chemical/mechanical/food processing)
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience required
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications, Auto CAD
  • Good interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Basic engineering knowledge about processes and equipment for processing powders and liquids
  • Passion for learning and understanding processes demonstrated through hands-on involvement and troubleshooting capability
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Experience in the design, installation and commissioning of processing lines following CAPEX processes
  • Process troubleshooting in industrial environment
  • CAPEX Project Management background / experience is a plus
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality
