Job Summary: The intern will assist with various projects throughout the assignment, including, but not limited to:

  • Clerical Work
  • Conduct water quality sampling
  • Assist with the entry of field data and sample information
  • Assist in the evaluation, interpretation, and analysis of sampling data
  • Assist with the inspection and sampling of industrial facilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Project Title: REF Research

  • Tasks as assigned by Deputy Director of Operation & Maintenance (O&M) and Director of Watershed Programs
  • Intern will apply advanced specialized college coursework in a professional setting
  • Other duties as assigned

    Education Requirements: Candidate must be a sophomore, junior or senior status enrolled at Central State University in a Bachelor or master's degree program

    • Field of Study: Water Resource Management, Environmental, Engineering or a related field of study

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • Candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week. Working hours are Monday-Friday during normal business hours but will require some weeknight and weekend Work hours will be adjusted as appropriate for interns who are enrolled in school.
    • Candidate must be able to commit to up to a minimum 1-month assignment with an option to extend the assignment at NEORSD's discretion. This internship program provides for a time- limited role at NEORSD with no express or implied guarantee of future employment beyond the assignment period. This position is governed by all applicable NEORSD administrative policies, practices and procedures related to temporary employees.
    • Candidate must possess a valid Driver License with a driving record in accordance with the Sewer District's acceptable guidelines and must have a reliable form of transportation.
